Arrivals/Departures

Children are not permitted to enter or exit the Center without their caregiver/guardian/guardian. In the case of an emergency, you must notify us of any person picking up your child other than yourself or persons listed on the emergency contact caregiver/guardian consent form. Valid photo identification will need to be presented before your child(ren) can be released to him/her. Additionally, any person picking up your child must be at least 16 years of age.

Trial Period/Termination Service

The first three weeks of enrollment are considered the probationary period; care may be terminated at any time during that period. After the probationary period, the agreement may be terminated by either party by a giving two weeks written notice. If a two-week notice is not provided by the caregiver/guardian, fees for those weeks may be required. Playtime Daycare & Learning Center & Learning Center retains the right to terminate this contract without notice in the event of destructive, uncontrollable, or violent behavior in the case of delinquent fees.

Hours of Operation

Our hours are from 5:30 AM to 10:00 PM Monday through Friday and 6:30 AM to 8:00 PM Saturday and Sunday. The Center is closed on the following holidays: Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day and Day After Thanksgiving Day. There is no reduction in tuition for these holidays.

Discipline

Acceptable behavior is encouraged by giving a positive verbal reward. This reinforces a child’s good feeling about his/her behavior and serves as an example to the children to act in such a way as to receive this praise. Asking a child to stop and think about their behavior enables the child to work at self-control. Depending on the situation, one Verbal warning is usually given and the child is reminded of acceptable behavior. The next step will be a “Quiet Time”. “Quiet Time” is not a punishment, but rather a time when the child may calm down, remember what behavior is acceptable, and decide when they are ready to rejoin the group with appropriate behavior. If “ Quiet Time” is not effective, Parent and/or guardian will be advised of such behavior. Punishment such as hitting, slapping or spanking in any manner is not considered to be an accepted method of dealing with young children’s behavior and will not be a form of discipline at the Center. A child can be suspended and/or dismissed for inappropriate behavior immediately.

Medication

If you request us to administer medication, prescription or OTC, an authorization form must be completed BEFORE we can administer such medication. Please dispense all medications at home whenever possible. If your child requires medications to be dispensed while in our care, it is the caregiver/guardians’ responsibility to inform us. Prescription medication must be in the original container with the pharmacy label and doctors’ instructions. Sample medication or OTC must be accompanied by the same information as a prescription, on a physician’s stationery. Medication should never be left in a child’s lunchbox or book bag.

Tuition and Fees

The registration fee is $10.00 per child and due upon enrollment. This is a non-refundable fee and does not apply to the first week’s tuition.

Tuition includes child care and preschool program for days and hours (maximum of 10 hours per day, per state regulation) as agreed upon in your contract. The tuition will not be reduced for absences, holidays or suspensions. All fees are due on Friday,   the week before care begins. If payment is not received by the following Friday. A late fee of $10.00 will be assessed to your invoice on the following Monday morning. Childcare can be refused for any accounts not paid in full.
