The Pre K Counts Teacher provides a safe, stimulating learning environment for children ages three through five years of age. The teacher will prepare lesson plans and instruct children in activities designed to promote social, physical and intellectual growth. Classroom size will be no more than 20 students for one teacher and one aide in a classroom. In addition, the Pre School teacher must develop a cooperative working relationship between the program and the staff while empowering parents for their children’s’ success. The position is currently a 10-month school academic calendar year.
The assistant teacher will assist and support the classroom teacher in providing a healthy, safe, and developmentally appropriate program and environment where children have the opportunity to develop social-emotional, language, intellectual and physical skills. Also, the assistant teacher should be able to respect and support the family unit in their efforts to raise their children to become well-rounded individuals.
